About the Authoress
Salutations and warm greetings! Thank you for hopping over for a visit to my blog. I am Alyssa, a half-Chinese, half-Filipino, with a touch of Spanish blood running in my veins, two-and-twenty and, a graduate of Intercultural Studies. I was homeschooled by my parents from elementary to high school; college was my first experience at conventional schooling.

I believe that homeschooling is a lifestyle. It starts at birth and goes on for as long as you live. And once you're a homeschooler, you'll always be a homeschooler.

About Pink Pinafore
To start off our very first day of homeschooling back when we were in Grade 1, my mom made me and my older sister pink pinafores to wear every time we would do our lessons. It became our "school uniform" and we would always be excited to put it on. Time passed, and though we outgrew the uniforms, we did not outgrow the love for learning.

I named this blog after those little uniforms, simply because Pink Pinafore is all about my homeschooling experience, and the homeschooling movement in the Philippines. I hope to encourage the parents and the kids out there and to inform non-homeschoolers what an enjoyable experience homeschooling is.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy the blog!
